RTP provides county-wide transportation to residents of Cumberland County, and visitors to the region.
We have friendly staff ready to help you plan your trip, and well-trained drivers to ensure your safety and comfort. RTP is a shared-ride service that requires riders to book trips in advance. Whatever your transportation needs are, RTP will do its best to help you get where you need to go.

Our Mission
RTP’s mission is to provide safe and efficient transportation for disabled, elderly, low-income individuals and the general public throughout Cumberland County, Maine. Our transportation includes rides to medical appointments and essential medical services such as: dialysis, cardiac care, day-surgery, and cancer treatments. In addition, RTP transports riders to programs for developmentally challenged people and pre-school children, along with getting people to work, food shopping, entertainment locations, visitations, and other life-enriching venues. RTP provides transportation on buses, vans, and with volunteer drivers who use their own vehicles. Designated as a Regional Transportation Corporation, the agency also provides scheduled weekday public transportation with its “Lakes Region Explorer” to several locations between the Town of Bridgton and the City of Portland.

RTP is committed to ensuring that no person is excluded from participation, denied benefits, or otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability.
Any person who believes that he or she has been subjected to discrimination or retaliation based on their race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability may file a Title VI complaint. Complaints may be filed directly to RTP or to Maine DOT. Complaints must be filed in writing and signed by the complainant or a representative and should include the complainant’s name, address, and telephone number or other means by which the complainant can be contacted. Complaints must be filed within 180 days of the date of the alleged discrimination.
Complaints should be filed to: Regional Transportation Program, Attn: Executive Director, 1 Ledgeview Dr, Westbrook, ME 04092 or Civil Rights Office, MDOT, 16 State House Station, Augusta, ME 04333-0016. RTP will respond to any written Title VI complaint within 10 business days.
