RTP is announcing a new career opportunity for an opening position of Executive Director.
Agency Mission: The Regional Transportation Program (RTP) is a nonprofit paratransit agency based in Westbrook, Maine. We provide essential transportation for seniors, low-income, individuals with disabilities and the general public throughout Cumberland County. RTP also operates a daily, fixed route bus service between Bridgton and Portland.
Summary of Responsibilities: Reports to the Board of Directors and oversees the growth and efficient operation of the agency’s services. The Executive Director will direct a skilled staff of administrative, financial, dispatch, vehicle techs and drivers, and assure that RTP’s new Transportation Facility and fleet of vehicles are properly maintained.
Job Qualifications: The successful applicant will have:
- A college degree with 5 years direct management experience in transportation
- Management experience in a non-profit, governmental or social service agency desirable
- Competency in financial management including budgeting and grants administration
- Strong skills in establishing stakeholder relationships
- Strong communication skills appropriate for all audiences
- Proficiency with computer, communication and transit technologies
- Experience working in a union environment helpful
Salary: Based on experience and appropriate for a nonprofit
